Does California insurance cover telehealth TRT visits?
California's SB 1250 telehealth parity law requires commercial insurers to cover telehealth services at the same rate as equivalent in-person care. Blue Shield of California, Anthem Blue Cross, Covered California plans, and most major carriers must cover telehealth visits for medically necessary diagnoses including hypogonadism. What pharmacy fills testosterone prescriptions in California?
Testosterone can be filled at any California retail pharmacy — CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Costco, and thousands of independent pharmacies. With insurance, most patients pay $0–$30/month. Without insurance, testosterone cypionate is typically $30–$60/month at Costco or GoodRx pricing.
How often will I have follow-up appointments?
After your initial consultation, most patients are seen every 90 days for lab review and protocol adjustment. Appointments are 15–30 minutes via secure video. Between visits you can message your care team through the Revive patient portal.
Is telehealth TRT legal and legitimate in California?
Yes. California permits telehealth prescribing for testosterone when a valid patient-provider relationship is established and clinical standards for diagnosis and monitoring are met.
