Everything You Need to Know
Before Your First Visit.
We believe in transparency. Here are answers to the questions we hear most often about testosterone therapy, our clinic, pricing, insurance, and how we compare to telehealth.
Getting Started
What happens at my first visit?
Your first visit takes about 45–60 minutes and includes three parts: (1) a blood draw in our clinic — the full 51-biomarker panel, same for every patient, (2) a one-on-one consultation with a licensed doctor who reviews your symptoms and health history, and (3) a physical examination. If your labs confirm low testosterone, your doctor can often build your treatment plan and provide injection training at the same visit.
Do I need a referral from my primary care doctor?
No. You can book directly with Revive Low T Clinic. We're a specialized men's health clinic and accept new patients without a referral. If you have prior lab work or medical records, feel free to bring them — but it's not required.
How do I prepare for my first visit?
Arrive fasting (no food for 8–12 hours; water is fine) for the most accurate testosterone and metabolic readings. Morning appointments are ideal because testosterone levels are naturally highest in the morning. Bring your insurance card (for pharmacy billing), a list of current medications, and any previous lab results if available.
Can I start treatment on my first visit?
In many cases, yes. If your blood work confirms clinically low testosterone and the doctor determines TRT is appropriate, you can receive your first injection and hands-on injection training the same day. Your ongoing prescriptions are sent to your pharmacy of choice.
What are your clinic hours and locations?
We have three locations — Seattle, Kirkland, and Federal Way. Hours vary by location and all visits are by appointment. Call (206) 960-4770 or book online to find a time that works for you.
What age do you treat? Is there a minimum or maximum?
We treat adult men (18+) with clinically diagnosed low testosterone. There is no upper age limit. Low T affects men from their late 20s through their 80s, and treatment decisions are based on your lab results, symptoms, and overall health — not your age.
Cost & Insurance
How much does the first visit cost?
The first visit is $99 for every patient — a doctor consultation, a physical exam, and a 51-biomarker lab panel. Every fee is listed on our pricing page.
How much does the TRT membership cost?
TRT membership $35/mo — or $175 every 6 months with the 6-month prepay (6 months for the price of 5). + checkups $329 every 6 months. Labs: use your insurance, or pay our discounted price (about $40). Most patients pay $0–30/mo for TRT meds, with insurance or without.
How much does testosterone medication cost with insurance?
Most patients pay $0–30/mo for TRT meds, with insurance or without. We prescribe FDA-approved generic testosterone (like testosterone cypionate) that insurance formularies cover.
What if I don't have insurance?
Testosterone therapy is still affordable without insurance. Most patients pay $0–30/mo for TRT meds, with insurance or without. Checkup visits and lab tests are FSA/HSA eligible, and so are prescription medications. The membership fee is not.
Does Revive accept insurance for office visits?
Revive is a cash-pay clinic, so office visits are paid to us directly. For labs, use your insurance (the lab bills your insurer, not Revive) or pay our discounted price (about $40). Most patients pay $0–30/mo for TRT meds, with insurance or without.
What's included in the monthly membership fee?
The membership includes Prescription Coverage Assistance, messaging, refill coordination, lab result review, priority scheduling, telehealth follow-ups, and HCG or ED prescribing when indicated. Use your insurance for labs, or pay our discounted price.
Can I use my FSA or HSA?
Checkup visits, lab tests and prescription medications are FSA/HSA eligible. The membership fee is not. Compounded medications may sometimes be paid with an HSA card, but this varies. We provide itemized receipts for your claim.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, with no cancellation fees. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing month. Month-to-month fees are non-refundable. If you cancel a 6-month prepay early, you get back the $175 you paid minus $35 for each month used (including the month you cancel in), never less than $0.
Treatment
What testosterone levels qualify for TRT?
The American Urological Association defines low testosterone as a total testosterone level below 300 ng/dL. However, symptoms and free testosterone levels also matter significantly. Some men have a total T of 350 but very low free T due to high SHBG — and they feel terrible. Our doctors look at the full picture: total T, free T, SHBG, estradiol, symptoms, and health history.
How long does TRT take to start working?
Most patients notice initial improvements within 2–4 weeks, with full benefits developing over 3–6 months:
2–3 weeks: Improved energy, better sleep, enhanced mood
4–6 weeks: Increased libido, mental clarity, reduced brain fog
2–3 months: Body composition changes, improved muscle recovery, better exercise tolerance
6+ months: Significant lean muscle gain, fat reduction, sustained energy and mood improvements
What are the side effects of testosterone therapy?
Most patients experience little to no side effects. Some may notice mild acne or an adjustment period as their body adapts — these typically resolve on their own within a few weeks. Your doctor will fine-tune your protocol based on how you feel and what your labs show.
That's exactly why we do regular lab work at every follow-up — so we can track your progress, keep everything balanced, and adjust your plan to keep you feeling your best. It's the kind of hands-on care you can't get through telehealth.
What medications does Revive prescribe for low testosterone?
We offer two evidence-based approaches:
1. Testosterone Cypionate (Injection) — FDA-approved generic, covered by many major WA insurance plans. This is the standard TRT approach for most men.
2. Enclomiphene (Oral tablet) — A compounded medication prescribed when clinically appropriate for:
• Men with fertility goals who want to preserve sperm production
• Younger men who want to avoid long-term dependence on exogenous testosterone
• Men coming off TRT who need support restarting natural testosterone production
Important: Enclomiphene is not FDA-approved as a commercial product and is not covered by insurance. We discuss pricing transparently before prescribing.
Your doctor determines which approach is right for you after reviewing your 51-biomarker panel at your first visit. Most patients pay $0–30/mo for TRT meds, with insurance or without.
I have fertility goals. Can I still do TRT?
Yes — with the right protocol. Testosterone replacement suppresses the signals your body uses to produce sperm. For men with active fertility goals, hCG can be added to your TRT protocol — it works directly at the testicles, below the signal that testosterone shuts down. Enclomiphene is different: it works on that signal itself, so it is used instead of testosterone, or after it — not alongside it. This is a conversation that happens at your first consultation, not after the fact. Call us at (206) 960-4770 to discuss your specific situation before booking.
I've been on TRT elsewhere and want to come off. Can you help?
Yes. Stopping exogenous testosterone without support can mean a prolonged period of very low natural testosterone while your HPG axis restarts. Revive can evaluate whether enclomiphene is appropriate to support your recovery — helping restart natural testosterone production more quickly. We review your labs and history first. We also welcome transfers of care from patients who started TRT elsewhere but want better monitoring, lower medication costs through your own insurance, or a closer clinical relationship. Call (206) 960-4770.
Will I need to inject myself?
Most patients self-inject at home after receiving hands-on training from our clinical team during their first visit. Self-injection is quick (takes about 60 seconds), painless with proper technique, and allows you to maintain consistent levels without visiting the clinic. If you're uncomfortable with needles, we also offer topical testosterone options.
Can TRT affect fertility?
TRT can temporarily affect fertility while on treatment. If having children is part of your plans, just let your doctor know — we have protocols specifically designed to support fertility alongside TRT. This is something we discuss with every patient during the initial consultation so there are never any surprises.
Do you treat ED? How is it connected to low T?
Yes. Erectile dysfunction is one of the most common symptoms of low testosterone. We evaluate the root cause — if low T is contributing to your ED, treating it with TRT often improves erectile function significantly. We also prescribe ED medications (sildenafil, tadalafil) to your local pharmacy, where insurance may cover them. ED medication prescribing is included in the membership when clinically indicated.
What about medical weight loss? Do you prescribe semaglutide?
Yes. Semaglutide membership $35/mo — on its own, or added to TRT. + medication, billed separately; its price depends on your insurance and the pharmacy you choose. Same $99 first visit and $329 checkups; one visit covers both treatments.
Lab Testing
What does your 51-biomarker panel include?
Our panel tests: Hormones — Total T, Calculated Free T, Estradiol, SHBG, LH, FSH, Prolactin. CBC — Complete blood count including WBC, RBC, hemoglobin, hematocrit, platelets, and differentials. CMP — comprehensive metabolic panel including glucose, kidney function, electrolytes, and liver enzymes (ALP, AST, ALT). Lipids — Total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides. Plus: ferritin (iron stores), thyroid (TSH), and HbA1c, PSA.

Why does free testosterone matter?
Total testosterone includes bound and unbound testosterone. Only free testosterone (unbound) is biologically active — it's the testosterone your body can actually use. Some men have a "normal" total T but low free T due to high SHBG (sex hormone-binding globulin), which binds testosterone and makes it unavailable. Testing only total T can miss the problem entirely. Most telehealth companies only test total T.
How often do I need follow-up labs?
Year 1: labs at your first visit and 6-month checkup, plus two recommended visits at 3 and 9 months. Year 2+: two checkups a year. Labs track testosterone, hematocrit, estradiol, PSA and liver function. Use your insurance, or pay our discounted price (about $40).
Locations & Logistics
Can I visit any of your three locations?
Yes. Your membership works at all three clinics — Seattle, Kirkland, and Federal Way. You can schedule appointments at whichever location is most convenient for you, and you're free to switch between locations visit to visit.
How long do follow-up visits take?
Follow-up visits typically take 20–30 minutes: a quick blood draw, review of your latest labs with your doctor, and any protocol adjustments. Much shorter than the initial visit.
Do you offer telehealth appointments?
Yes — as a complement to in-person care, not a replacement. Telehealth follow-ups between visits are included in the membership. Consultations, physical exams, and blood draws are done in person.
Revive vs. Telehealth
How is Revive different from Hims, Roman, or Maximus?
The key differences: (1) Real doctor exams — we see you in person with licensed doctors, not NPs or PAs on video. (2) Labs — a gold-standard blood draw in our office (51-biomarker first panel) vs. a self-collected home kit, done the way that can get your meds covered by insurance. (3) Your own pharmacy — we prescribe to your pharmacy, where your insurance can cover the medication. Most patients pay $0–30/mo for TRT meds, with insurance or without. (4) Continuity of care — you know your doctor by name, and you see the same doctor every visit who knows your full history.

Is Revive cheaper than telehealth?
Year 1 costs are comparable or slightly more at Revive because of in-person visits and labs. From Year 2: $1,088 a year prepaid or $1,158 month-to-month, before meds, with labs at our discounted price (about $40); less with insurance. Our pricing page compares telehealth prices.
Why should I trust an in-person clinic over the convenience of telehealth?
Convenience is valuable — and we respect that. But testosterone therapy works best with real monitoring. Regular lab work, in-person check-ins, and a doctor who knows your history means your treatment stays optimized and you feel your best. We also offer telehealth follow-ups between visits so you get the best of both worlds — convenience when it makes sense, in-person care when it matters.
Do telehealth companies really skip the physical exam?
That's correct — telehealth visits happen over video, so there's no hands-on evaluation. At Revive, your doctor sees you in person, which means they can do a complete wellness check and personalize your treatment based on the full picture — not just lab numbers and a questionnaire. It's a meaningful difference in the quality of care you receive.
