Is in-person TRT better than telehealth?
In-person TRT includes a physical examination, which allows your doctor to check for conditions that would change the treatment recommendation (enlarged prostate, testicular abnormalities, signs of secondary hypogonadism). Telehealth prescribes based solely on a questionnaire and lab results — no physical exam. In Washington, in-person TRT at Revive also allows prescription of FDA-approved testosterone directly to your local pharmacy, where insurance can cover it.
